| Since publishing our first book "The Heart Behind the Hero" in 2000, we have had many wonderful experiences! In 2002, "The Heart Behind the Hero" won an award from Writer's Digest as one of the America's best self-published books, plus "The Heart Behind the Hero" was published in a foreign language (Chinese). "The Heart Behind the Hero" saw major distribution as it debuted across the country at major bookstores such as Barnes & Noble, Borders, & B.Dalton, as well as numerous independent book stores. | ||||
| Also in 2002, Karen published her first book for children, "Fire Kids! The Adventures of Hose Company No. 2", and traveled across the country talking to kids about her book. The highlight of the tour: visiting her childhood elementary school (Robertsville Elementary) in Morganville, New Jersey. | ||||
